Daisy Campaign is encouraging the donation of blankets as we lead up to winter in South Africa.
This winter, Daisy Campaign wants to see more dogs living in warm homes, and fewer dogs in shelters. While we will continue our efforts to promote the adoption of senior dogs, we recognise that there will still be dogs in rescues when winter dawns upon us.
Animal welfare, and the welfare of senior dogs in specific, is our greatest priority, and those who are still in shelters deserve our help. It's now autumn, and as we approach the coldest time of the year, we want to make the winter ahead as bearable for senior dogs as possible. To prepare for winter, we encourage everyone who can, to donate blankets to animal rescues and shelters.
How can you help?
We are proud to be partnering with My Pet Box, who are donating an amount equal to the cost of one blanket for each blanket purchased from them. This great deal from My Pet Box includes a blanket, two treats and a handmade toy, and every one blanket purchased is matched with one blanket donation to an animal organisation. Supporting this initiative is a great way of helping.
The two options are as follows:

Alternatively, we appreciate any donations to our Partners. Our three core principles, donation, volunteering and adoption, are still fundamental to our mission, and we will ask all of our supporters to support animal rescues by doing one (or more) of those three things. As we lead up to the winter months, donations are crucial - blankets, dog beds, kennels and toys will go a long way in keeping the dogs more comfortable. Monetary donations will support the rescue organisation in paying staff, vet expenses, and in keeping their doors open for more animals who will undoubtedly come.
We are proud to be supporting all of Daisy's Partners over the next few months, and we are excited to be collaborating with our new Winter Partner, My Pet Box, in their mission to help animals in need.
